Position: 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Role: Supporting students with additional needs on a 1:1 and small group basis.

Empowering Learning are looking for both experienced teaching assistants and teaching assistants just starting out their career in education to support pupils with different needs; mental health, behavioural issues and ASD in a 1-1 capacity and within small groups in KS1/2.

To be eligible for this role, you would need to have experience working with children or young people in a formal capacity, such as sports coaching, mentoring, befriending, social work or youth worker. You will need to have a strong understanding of supporting children and young people and know how to build a strong rapport/trust bond with the students.

You will also need:

Enhanced DBS check on the update service or be willing to run a new one

2x professional reference

A Teaching and Learning qualification is desired, however not essential.
